It started at my parents' kitchen table
My first tax client was my family. My parents were Vietnamese immigrants who ran their own business, and in high school I was the one translating IRS letters and setting up the payment plan on a $20,000 tax bill. Nobody told them what they didn't know. It cost them, and it stayed with me.
Where I learned how finance should work
I trained in public accounting, then spent years in the finance departments of multiple Fortune 500 companies. Later, as Senior Accountant for a $15 million company, I ran the entire accounting department. I saw what it looks like when a business has real financial systems behind it, and how rarely small business owners get that.
Why I built The Clarity Agency
I was laid off by calendar invite. It taught me that nothing is guaranteed, so you plan. That became the whole philosophy of my firm: plan first, file second.
The Clarity Agency brings corporate-level rigor to founder-led businesses: clean books, a written tax plan, and someone looking ahead with you all year.
Why I only work with women
Growing up, I watched what happens when nobody explains the money to the people actually running the business. Today, the women I work with are building serious companies, often while carrying everything else, too. They deserve a partner who plans ahead with them, not one who just files what already happened.
The team behind your plan
We're a virtual firm based in Tampa, working with women founders across the country. My team includes dedicated bookkeepers, a CPA, and an Enrolled Agent, and every tax plan comes through me.
